Position Title: Director of Youth Ministry
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Position Status Full Time Salaried
Summary
The Director of Youth Ministry provides direction and oversight to create, build and implement the youth ministries and programs (Middle & High School) that create grace-filled disciples in fulfillment of FCF’s mission and vision. This includes facilitating youth events and building a curriculum and leadership framework that volunteer leaders can easily implement.
This position requires an individual who could direct, equip, coach and develop others to disciple, minister to and lead youths within FCF to become grace-filled disciples.

• To equip youth to reach out to friends and others
• To build relational outreach bridges in the community through our community development ministries
• To recruit, train, oversee and work with youth volunteer leaders in the design and implementation of the youth ministry
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or several years of youth ministry experience.
• Two year minimum experience either as a youth worker or volunteer.
• Experience in curriculum development is desired.
• Management experience in coordinating volunteers is also desirable.

o Active faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
o Willingness to become a member of FCF
o Subscribe to FCF biblical doctrines, mission and vision
FCF Youth Ministry Summary Description:
Present Context:
FCF is a church of about 400 worshippers. Approximately 30-40 youth are directly involved in the youth ministry’s current activities. Another 30-40 youth are indirectly connected, either through their parents’ regular involvement at the church or through participation in the church’s other outreach activities in the neighborhood. FCF has a large blend of young adults, many of whom are students and graduate students drawn from three nearby universities: Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University and Morgan State University.

A multi-racial, urban, Presbyterian Church in America congregation in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Director of Youth Ministry to provide the direction and oversight to create, build and implement youth ministries that create grace-filled disciples. This position would provide key leadership to the church and complement the pastoral staff in serving the overall vision and mission of the church of approximately 400 worshippers in our call to seek God’s Kingdom for Pen Lucy, Baltimore and the world. Requirements include love for God, love for God’s Word, love for youth, and proven experience in disciple-making youth ministry. This is a full time salaried position with benefits.
